Review: The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

About the book:
The 5th Wave
Published by: PUTNAM, May 7th 2013
Genre: YA, science fiction
Pages: 457 pages

Synopsis: 1st wave: Lights out, 2nd wave: Surf's up, 3rd wave: Pestilence, 4th wave: Silencer. Cassie is one of the only survivor of the alien invasion. We follow her as she's surviving and telling how it all happened. I couldn't say anything more without spoiling it all.

My thoughts: This book had me hooked from the beginning. The fact that it took me nearly two weeks to read has nothing to do with me not liking it, because I was aching to read it, but by internship didn't gave me much chance to read. I loved Cassie , she was so funny and sassy and everything. The way it was written was so fun and interesting.

My rating: 4/ 5 stars
Sad parts: Not much
Funny part: Sassy parts
Action:Yaaas.

Who should read that book: Love action? Love Sci-fi? Love books? Read it. Now.

About the author:

Rick Yancey is the author of several adult novels and a memoir. In 2010, his novel The Monstrumologist received a Micheal L. Printz honor and it's sequel, The Curse of the Wendigo was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. The 5th Wave is the first book in a TRILOGY (thank god).

Now excuse me while I cry myself to sleep because I do not own the second book ...yet.
