Review: Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

About the book:
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
Published by: Amulet books, March 1st 2012
Genre: Contemporary
Pages: 295 pages

Synopsis:
Greg Gaines is a loner. Not because nobody likes him, just because he likes it that way. He's in touch with every one at school, yet, he declares no one as a friend. On the very first day of his senior year, his mom tells him that Rachel Kushner has been diagnosed with leukemia. And every thing goes to shit from there.

 My thoughts:
I want to be clear on this, if you think it's a TFIOS kind of book... you are completely wrong. It's not a touching romantic story. It's just a guy who lives with a ''friend'' with cancer. It's a normal story about a normal boy and a normal girl with cancer. There's no grand romantic gesture or big metaphors or anything like that. This book was a fun read, certainly a laugh out loud book. I really liked this book. I can't wait to see the movie.

My rating: 4/ 5 stars
Sad parts: Meh

Funny part: You have no idea. HILARIOUS level >9000
Action: No
Who should read that book: Pretty much every one who loves to laugh.

About the author:

Jesse Andrews is the author of the New York Times best-selling novel Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. He's also the writer of the feature-film adaptation the book. The movie will be released in theaters in June 2015.
